Friday

Another GOOD Friday.  What makes it good?  Great fall weather with a cool morning and then a little warmer afternoon.  Nothing sweaty for sure. And the day began with sewing and then ripping and then more sewing.  The number of burps inched up to 90 and may get to 100 before the day is over.  If it doesn't reach 100 that's OK also.  And it didn't although I rip ped up another sheet. Staying ahead!

Still hanging in there being pretty.

Then it was outside again.  First with the little clippers, then with the loppers and then finally with the hedge trimmers and rake.  The garden cart was filled three times filling two B Blues and the third load on the burn pile.  There is just a lot of stuff when there are so many garden plots all around the house.

My body needed a recharge by noon.  And the battery isn't new, so the charge took a while.

This part of the yard got a better than average clipping and raking.  It's neat and clean for the most part.                             And what was clipped and raked is now on the burn pile.  Woo, woo!

There was a little more clipping and raking and a new look at the two holes dug yesterday.  Doug deepened the holes which by now was a pretty easy thing.  Later in the day more than 100 jonquils were planted divided between the two spots.  I would say something good to look forward to.  Spring should be interesting.  And yes, I found some old barn foundation material.  Not much but a little.  That's a good thing.

This big beautiful buster was hoofing it up the hill this afternoon with his owner not far behind.

I spent some time late afternoon in the chair with a body that didn't want to move.  So, I didn't push it.  I skipped the Y which I really had in mind but thought better to leave it along for the day.

Although you are looking at a few stones, near by next spring the hope is to see yellow flowers.                                    ``That's the HOPE this gardener carries with her through the winter.

Linda and I settled on some details about the nativity open house days and hours at North Church in December.  It will be an additional offering for the community during Advent. Linda is working on the publicity.

Doug and I spent a bit of money at the front door.  It's school selling time for the Jr. High Band. I wish them well and support their efforts any way I can.

The trees are showing what is under that green color.  That's a sure sign that fall is here.

I'm supper happy that the day is coming to an end.  The body agrees as well.  I'm not sure exactly what is happening tomorrow except it's No Kings Day.  I may do a one of a kind parade with Stella around the block.  Maybe I can get Gina and Wyland to go with Stella and I.  A parade of four would be great.  But right now, the chair is as far as I want to go.
