Friday
I'm not quite sure where the morning went. It started around 7:30 and then it seemed that it just left at some point. Maybe I can blame it on the sewing machine. It was pretty busy doing its thing.
Now aren't these cute little girly animals. Five spools of thread each holding1095 yards of thread were delivered today. Now that should last for a while.I was at the drugstore getting more pills when the weekly 11:00 siren went off which really surprised me about the hour. I sure lost track of time today. Busy does that.
I spent some time uncovering all that was covered keeping the plants warm, which once again probably would have been just fine without sheets all night. The living room looked like a ghost town with all the sheets drying.
Now isn't this a pretty sight to see in the morning with the sun in the east and the frost to the north. It's just magical. One should read Frost's The Frost Is on the Pumpkin. The C C C's got baked. It's been quite a long time since I've made them, and I remembered all that needed remembering. I had a couple of cookies. Doug had more and the filled pan is covered and squirreled away until the neighborhood party tomorrow evening.
Something new at the front door.
There was a nap, washing that needed folding, pill container full once again, and then a brisk walk around the block with the sun trying to warm up things but having some bad luck. Stella and I made a record run, well walk that got the heart pumping. That's usually a good thing for some but always for me.
The candy is managing to stay put in the bowl ready for Halloween. Then home again thinking supper. This time there are eggs available for waffles. Something different. I really get tired of soup, so a change was ordered for tonight.
I talked to Heidi for a while about church stuff. Tomorrow is soup kitchen again. It's always a good time with community friends and church friends. I must remember to take plastic bags. Putting them in the car tonight is a sure way of getting them to where they need to be tomorrow.
And the last Daliah's were delivered to Kathy along with CCC's tonight. We have been friends for nearly 50 years, and Kathy has walked along side through thick and thin. Everyone needs a Kathy in their life. I am blessed. Thank you, Kathy. Then its baseball's world series tonight in Toronto. I'm going to be a Canadian tonight.
