Wednesday
So many shades found on one plant. All making a contribution from th youngest flower to the oldest.
Another simple day. Nothing much happened out of the ordinary. It was just a simple day that was needed. The morning was full of sewing. More burps for Goodwill babies are in the pipeline with a few more to come before the pipeline gets moving.
There is something about sewing as well as gardening that just moves my mind to a very safe place. It's a place of good thoughts, about gifting. Some things coming my way and some things going to other places. It is a very safe place that is not invaded with thoughts that might do harm to the body. These places help me to dance in the rain. I've mentioned two I can depend on. Sometimes there are more but these two I can always depend on. So the morning was filled with good things and this afternoon as well.
The rest of the pictures are all about seeds. Here we see chive flowers now ready to spill their seeds. There was lunch and then a trip to the Y. That is another safe place. Doug came along so I knew it would be a short visit of about 40 minutes at the most. Tomorrow Live Strong happens again so that program takes 1 1/2 hours and I'll be there perhaps 30 minutes longer. Today's machine was blended with the Mass in B minor. How sweet that was.
Mexican Sunflower seeds. I've been S L O W about gathering these. I need more seeds, the being slow starters for me.Back home on the ranch and the kettle came out for chili tonight. I threw in a bunch of odd stuff like peppers and celery. We'll see how this goes. Some will go in the freezer for another day.
I know you have seen these seeds before. But I'll use any excuse to show more. There is a big box of zinnia seeds in the garage. Marigold and straw flower seeds have been saved. I'm thinking spring of 2026. It can't be that far away. Well, maybe farther then I'm thinking right now.A few phone calls happened in the morning that will make the nativities at church available to visiting groups during the three Thursdays in December. There will be one Thursday evening when the church will be open as well for visitors. The number of nativities is around 150 now. Retirement homes made arrangements to visit a few years ago. Then Covid came with cancelations.
So the beat goes on. Things to do and miles to go before I sleep. That's a good thing.
