Wednesday

Still active, still eating.  I found two caterpillars on the parsley.                                                          They are in the house now still eating parsley. They need to go to sleep soon.                                                                             They got a late start on growing.

It's what I call the middle of the week.  Sometimes it feels like the peak of the week.  It's been uphill and soon it will be downhill to the end of the week.  So, what happened today?  Here goes!

Huge Bumble Bees still bumbling around the zinnias.

It was a great snooze all night long.  Breakfast and the first of the day stuff happened.  And then the sewing machine took over for the rest of the morning with the last 20 burps finished and packed for a delivery to Ginnie at some point.  I did a little more ripping for sewing in the coming days.

You have seen this many times.  This bag marks the 2200 number.

The B Blue trucks went rumbling through the neighborhood and I met Chuck with a BIG piece of cake.  That's one way to pass on the carbs to other folks.  The B Blue Bins were pulled back to their home empty and ready for the next filling.  There will be more but today was break day.

After lunch, I declared it was time for the Y.  I like to stay longer than Doug so today I went by myself.  I met Karen and husband Joe.  Karen worked alongside me on the same sort of machine.  Not for as long as I. I told her I peddled as far as Kokomo.  She made it to Westfield.  Motivation is what she could use a bit of.  I moved on to the leg press and then the treadmill.  So, it was a long workout and a good one.

I stopped at Goodwill.  Found NOTHING. Then home and doing a little chair time seemed to be the order.  My fingers did a little bit of blogging.

I chicken wired the hens and chicks. When deer are hungry, they will eat anything.  Last winter they did a number on my hens and chicks.  Surprise, surprise.  Even Hens and Chicks.  Today I covered the bed with chicken wire hoping to have spring plants that are not chewed to the max. We'll see how this goes.

Chicken wire in the summer, chicken wire in the winter.  It's chick, chick, chickwire.

Marigolds should be easy to grow but this year, not so much.  This afternoon I harvested seeds from the three plants that did come up.  There is hope but how much?  It's the life of a gardener.

Two bowls mean two kinds of Marigolds.  Some short and some midsize.                                                     They need to dry well escaping the mildew man during the winter.

Another pretty good day.  Soup for supper and a frost advisory on my phone.  I don't think it will happen but it's there.  But if it does come, I'm ready.  Still a lot to do but it will happen. The body is happier with me today.  That's a very good thing.
