Wednesday

Trash day and I was on it.  This time Chuck in the B Blue Truck got some chocolate chip cookies.  And that came with a street visit with neighbor Gina.  Winter weather that arrives soon usually brings some isolation from neighbors with a big spring introduction again.  So, visiting whenever one can is a good thing.  And this morning it was a Gina and Chuck visit.  Gina has food allergies, so Chuck was the winner.

I took a stroll around the garden with the brain busy about all sorts of things.  Yesterday's zinnia flower crop was put in a paper bag and now sits by the register with the hope of finishing the drying process before mold gets to it.  I should have good luck with that process. I pulled the last sweet peppers this morning.  The crop has been good with growing every color of pepper there might be.  I'm hoping for stuffed peppers tonight.  Guess I'm the one that needs to make that happen.
The morning was filled with finishing another scarf.  I listened to the tariff argument before the Supreme Court, I thought some questions were good. Some just went into the bushes, so to speak.  I love to learn about the process. Knitting and TV keeps me sitting which I don't like to do a whole lot of.  Sewing is better because it's an up and down thing with cutting, ripping, ironing and machine sewing.  Moving is a must for old folks, you know.

So, it was lunch and then a walk around the BIG block.  It's been another great fall day with the wind from the north not far away. Today I would say there was wind using its blowing ability to rip the leaves right off the trees. No rain, just wind.  A hard frost is predicted soon.  Then it will be the final put away for the garden.  I have a great curry plant that I think I'll try to bring into the house.  I don't know if it will work but it never hurts to try.  It's a pretty white plant that smells like curry because it's curry! Dah!

I have a Thanksgiving cactus that looks like a Christmas cactus that is starting to bud.  Exciting isn't it.  I got it at the church plant swap last spring.  A gift from Mary McDonald. The Christmas cactus buds are awol so far, but the plant looks healthy. I think the clock will sound the alarm after Thanksgiving. I must admit that Jared set an alarm on my phone that reminds me to water my cactus with a 1/4 cup of water every Sunday afternoon.  And I will admit that it's working, or so it seems.  The same thing happens with my cancer medicine.  I need all the help I can get.  Thanks JB Russell.

Stuff peppers did appear for supper and there are more in the refrigerator.  Late this afternoon another scarf was added to the stash.  It's on to a white one at this point.  And the Pacers are playing tonight.  More knitting is coming my way.  I want a big stack of scarves ready for the winter breezes to be delivered to the mothers of Goodwill babies who are in need. Someone cares!

And let me add that I appreciate your patience with slow me and pictures.  I'd rather do other things but one of these days it may be back.  Picture taking will look somewhat different without flowers.  That's sad.
