Sunday number three of Advent.
Well, how did the day go? I would say mid-afternoon so far, it's good. I expect that to continue. That is if the Colts win their 4 o'clock game. And if they don't, I don't think that could spoil the day.
Central Indiana woke up to a very cold morning. The bird feeders got a much-needed tweak after seeing the crowd around what could be called snow-covered feeders. I think they appreciated someone making breakfast just a bit easier to find. Doug said it was too cold to leave the house. We decided to have different opinions. That is never a problem. After coffee and breakfast and a little TV with knitting of course I bundled up even more than the first attempt at keeping warm and I was off to church. The snow seemed to be about 5 inches deep in the driveway, but the car acted like a champion and just made it to the street in fine order. Roads were cleared all the way to church. I will admit it was cold enough to have a quick and successful attempt again at learning where the correct buttons were creating a warm car environment.
Traffic was sparce, the roads snow covered and when pulling into the parking lot at church, what came to mine were the words on map quest...YOU HAVE ARRIVED! It was an amusing thought. Of course, the church crowd also was a bit sparce, more pews were visible, but the service was awesome. Following Jills words took us to Elizabeth's house where among other things, Mary receive reassurance. We all need our Elizabeths. And from a position that could have led to death from stoning came light. The choir's rendition of the Magnificat, Mary's song was very appropriate for the day. It was a good Sunday to be in church. In a week we'll hear about Mary's experience with Gaberial. I'm looking forward to that.
The rest of the day included some taking it easy time. One bird feeder needed filling. That happened, and the birds were back for more food. The driveway needed clearing. Our lawn guys were here with big snow blowers when I got home around one
. Football, naps and knitting were a part of the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Another great Sunday. They just keep coming and coming just like some other good days. Looking forward to a day in the 50's this week. Crazy winter weather so far along with other crazy things. No pictures today. I think I left my phone at church. Checking on that tomorrow.
