Friday
Another good night of sleep with a slow wake up. The morning stuff happened and I was off to IU North again for the two expected infusions with the third infusion being a surprise expected next week. Infusions go in slowly. Shots go in fast. The three "omegas" are in me now working away and next week's trip is a no go now having completed the need this morning. Woo, Woo!
It was a knitting morning. The pace sort of slow with half of the scarf completed. That's good enough for me for a morning of needles.
The afternoon turned out to be wonderful with the sun shining and some work in the garden. I kept hearing the cranes, but I never could see them. That happens when they are high in the sky. I uncovered all the jonquils proving if they all bloom it will be a beautiful sight. One never knows but hope springs eternal in the life of a gardener.
These miniature jonquils are on the way with a lone Lenten Rose getting ready to show off.
I sat for a bit on the patio soaking up the sun and decided the painted rocks needed to be sealed. I painted a few more and will probably continue until the stone supply tells me NO MORE PAINTING.
The second group of rocks painted by the Living Strong folks. Then there was a walk around the block which seemed harder than expected. Stella stayed in the garage but the cane went with me reminding me it was there if I needed it. I remembered almost too late when gardening last year, I usually had a rake with me using it for balance. Today that wasn't the case and I experienced an off-balance episode. I didn't fall!!! nPT guys would be upset for sure with a fall. It's in the 60's today and the fan is on in my room for the cool off after the walk.
Doug ended his afternoon with a walk around the block a couple of hours later. A perfect afternoon to walk. Let's have a few more.
Supper tonight was some crazy soup adding a bit of rice from a packet elevating it to the too much salt indicator. Uck. I threw the rest of the packet out. We are no salt people, I guess. I'll be trying to wash salt out of the soup with water through a strainer. I think I can make it work.
