Monday

Today there were some things that happened and some that were to happen that didn't happen.  So, I guess the word is flexibility although sometimes what is planned and not happening is a bit disconcerting.

Super mornings with a Stanley full of coffee from the Jared pot.  We chose to never get a new table cloth since the one you see was on the first ever camping trip to the U P.  Eric was 2.  Now he's a little past 52.

So, what happened.  I finished the 10 burps started yesterday and I did a lot of ripping fabric to prepare another 25 burps.  I think they are pretty cute when all the steps to completion are finished.  I bagged up another 100 burps that I'll deliver later in the week.

Information about our Y program Living Strong continued to be in the mixing bowl with the beaters turned on high. Will we meet or will we not meet. It was just a bit frustrating with a decision made and then changed once again.  I've lost count how many there have been.  I'm not so good with a lot of changes.  So, we didn't meet today but currently the plan is to meet Thursday.  Now will it snow or will it not.  Who knows how this will turn out. I'm beginning to think this group is more social than a group working on physical stamina and balance.  I need both but the latter is way out a head in my race. So I keep making work out trips to the Y.

There was lunch followed by a good nap. A few times morning and afternoon the Blue Birds got their food dish filled.  The patio looked pretty clean and the decision not to fill one of the feeders was made.  It allows a lot of seeds to be dropped to the squirrel and juncos.  There is more than enough in other places.

My most favorite ever flower vase made by Bumble Hill Dennis.

I spent 45 minutes at the Y on the treadmill and nu step in the afternoon but at a slower pace with still completing a mile walk.  I had a good visit with Don who was working out.  I see him at church in his usher roll every week.  I came home feeling not so tired although I created another protein drink with strawberries immediately that proved to be the right thing getting me back into go. Protein creates muscles and is good for the heart, an important muscle you know. But it is not a substitute for meal eating.
A great way to get 30 grams of protein.  Ladies need 46 and men need 56 per day.  So says Seri.

Eric called asking for a uber ride which Doug will do after we eat supper.  Doug did a dentist drugstore run mid- afternoon.  Hopefully that will last for a while.

So, it was a fairly good day with just a few ups and downs.  Life never promises more.
