Monday

I'm always amazed at how different the day can feel.  If one thinks of a line, the feeling can go from one end to the other. And then one hopes that the feelings come back to the center at some point.  It's called thinking of living a balanced life.

Today, life stayed near the center with one exception when it ended near the end of the line. Julie, Dr. Schneider's nurse brought it all back to where my mind needed to be.  This morning, the monthly blood test happened. I watched the I U portal for results which came about two hours later with more red numbers then I had hoped for.  Red meant numbers were not where they should be.  Either too high or too low. So, I waited for Julie's call.  She assured me that what they were looking for was within reason.  I could start another month of Cancer meds.  Yeah!  The mind went too near the end of the line, but Julie guided me back to the center where all was OK for now.  Thank goodness for guardian angels like Julie.

Today was our Monday Living Strong. Rock painting happened resulting in beautiful rocks with encouraging words that soon will be found at the Cancer Center at I U North.  There seemed to be a good feeling of accomplishment in doing something for others.  I call that a centering moment.  There was a lot of conversation along with paint pens doing their best in the hands of members.

I have some painted rocks left from todays work and am thinking of how to use them.

One more scarf was requested at Living Strong, and I shared my hope that tomorrow I can start to knit my first red hat.  I'm picking up the directions from a friend in the morning.  I'll deliver Heidi's hat during that same trip.

There was no other Y work out today.  I substituted the time using it at Aldi's.  Doug was OUT OF FOOD for lunch. Beef soup happened for supper, and it was DELICIOUS!!!  There are containers in the refrigerator.  Yum, yum.

This afternoon there were two blue birds on the feeders.  Poor things.  The blue bird food wasn't available for them. So I made it available and crew moved in.  I would say more than a doz. were scrambling for food every time I filled the dish doing it three times.  Hungry birds that brought in others to the other feeders were fun to watch again.  It looked like a huge convention was happening.

So, it was a good day.   And yes...I got another one.  Still filled with gratitude and trying to stay centered and not at the ends of the line, off balance.
