Sunday
A few things the same, and a few things different. That's the Sunday news.
Up early and I completed the final sew around to 10 more burps. I bundled up 10 scarves for the new mothers in the Goodwill program delivering them to Ginny at church later. Then at 10 we were on our way south to church picking up Rita and Bob on the way.
This is our Associate Minister Jill, mother of Zavier and deceptive in showing her age. She has pastored other churches and has worked in the hospital setting with hospice patients. A woman of many talents, one being a deliverer of great sermons.Jill preached today. It was the first Sunday of the month celebrating communion. Jill never disappoints when one follows her thought process. Today I learned about the process of Jesus becoming a Rabbi. So interesting among many other things heard this morning.
The afternoon was pretty simple with more sewing which will be finished tomorrow. There was a long nap. Some testing seems to have shown that my thyroid is a bit slow these days making naps easy. I'm monitoring my energy level taking more care with activities at the Y. There may be a medication adjustment in a month or so.
I spent a little time snow and seed cleaning off the patio. Bird seed and hulls seem to fly everywhere and then get carried into the house. It pays to shovel and sweep the patio. The sun melted some of the snow. I appreciated the help.
Jared sent a picture of a Michigan Pilliated Woodpecker on his feeder this morning.Tonight was our monthly zoom meeting with the extended family. It's always interesting and a big part of the conversation was about the ice storm around Nashville Tenn. the home of nephew Jason Russell and family. It proved to be a dozzie with folks still without power. The tree damage is quite noticeable.
This morning these Blue Birds were sunning themselves at our feeder.I did some basketball watching. It seems Sunday might be called the ladies day. Games are good. I have the schedule for the Fever, but their starting time is May. College is on tap now with Ohio State beating Neb. today. How about that.
So, the week is beginning again. Tomorrow is our first in a long time Living Strong meeting at 10:30 at the Y. I'm still not real certain about this group but think I'll give it a second change for now. I find it difficult to break into a group that has been in place for a while.
