Sunday

This was truly a lazy day.  Not crazy, just lazy. After another night of wonderful rest, the rest continued because it was Sunday for one reason.  Sunday rest doesn't always happen but today it did. I think my body is telling me thank you.

I started the day in the usual way and until it was 10 o'clock I knitted.  That's one way to spend a lazy morning.  We were off to church.  I submitted bills for Palm Sunday palms.  Then it was off to the sanctuary to hear the choir rehearsal.  A new song with so many good words. Sometime ago one of the choir members asked what if anything I missed not singing with the group.  My answer was the words.  Of course, words go with notes, but I missed the words more than anything.  My bulletin has the words printed so I say the words as the choir sings them.

Our minister writes a study guide each Lenten season to go with the sermons for that season of the year.

This year each Sunday in Lent will be words about Hope with stories from the Bible.  A good subject for this time of year.  I see that word every day on my wrist band that was given to me by Julie, my oncologist's nurse.  It actually says Radiate Hope.  That's my goal.  So, the services will support that theme for the weeks ahead.

There was a lot of visiting after church.  More so than usual it seemed.  But that's always a good thing.

Home again and the afternoon was just one LAZY afternoon.  I thought about walking at the Y.  Nope, didn't do it.  There were other ideas...Nope, didn't do that either.  I watched two good women's basketball games.  Ohio State was the winner.  Indiana was the winner also.  The knitting needles added to the current scarf.  My feet were on the stool the whole time.  There were no naps.  Just ball.

We changed Andrew's time to work on electronics.  It would seem the computer has fixed itself.  How does that happen?  My iPhone has some questions to resolve, and I have a short list of other tec things to discuss.  So, Tuesday afternoon I should see him if other busy stuff does not overtake us.

So a few more games to watch this evening will fill the time with knitting added.  Tomorrow morning at 7:30 I hope to be at IU North for my monthly blood check.  The hope is that the results will tell me to start on cancer meds again.  I get so excited when checking time comes around again.  There were two months when the results said to wait another week for more meds.  The numbers needed to improve. With a reduction in medicine, there has been no problem with recovery time.  I guess we can say it's chemo in pill form because the same rest period appears with portal folks.  I've named my pills Frick and Frack currently. I wake them up from their storage place with a big GOOD MORNING!

Later in the morning I'll be with the Living Strong folks painting words of encouragement on rocks.  Another good thing to mark the day.

We woke up with a little snow on the ground.  It's beginning to feel like March.  Will it be lion or lamb weather.  Only Mother Nature knows. Our Copper Harbor Friends woke up to snow piled against one of the doors almost as high as the door was high.  They had other ways to leave the house, but the snow was so high those paths were blocked completely. I would say it is stay at home season.
