Sunday
There is not much to write about this Sunday that is different than any other Sunday. So, we'll see how this goes as it comes out of my head on to my fingers. One can be surprised.
It was so wonderful to wake up in a warm bed thinking there wasn't a reason to explode out of that bed. So, I just stayed put for a while. But the clock said it was time to move at one point. Then I did. There was breakfast, paper fetching and bird feeding. The blue birds were a delight again. I yelled come and get it which they followed that instruction with a grade of A+. I started a new, you know what. Moved the burp bag to the car for Ginny and noticed it was time to leave for church.
We honored three ladies today who came to church almost as babies, now in the late 80's and early 90's. Still attending most Sundays. We'll celebrate 100 years of worshiping in the current sanctuary in 5 years. The church had its beginnings in the mid 1800's.
We should be seeing Lenten Roses very soon. Not much to discover with snow everywhere. After the service Heidi and I worked on a bit of planning for next Sunday. It's the last alleluia Sunday with Lent starting on the 18th. The children will have a part in the service placing their alleluias in a chest, not seeing or hearing the word in any service until Easter Sunday. This week on Wednesday we are meeting at church to pull out all the visuals needed for the season of Lent. Next Monday we will be hanging purple banners along with placement of other items. So, the BUSIES are coming. It happens every year. Lent's sermon series will help us discover much about Hope. After Easter the theme of Justice will be noted in sermons.
A simple way to dress the altar. Thistles sprayed purple years ago are always used each year. The afternoon was bird feeding time again with a huge number of B Birds attacking the feeder earning another A+ when called. Knitting continued at a very slow pace. There's a chance, only a chance I'll watch the games...football and the winter kind. The outcome is always the same. Someone wins and someone loses.
I delivered another 100 burps to Ginny and turned down a greenhouse garden walk after church. The additional rehearsal time needed after church for the 15th was one reason. Another one is keeping my commitments to fewer in any given day seems to keep my thyroid energy quota intact.
So, that seems to be Sunday February 8th. Same old, same old as JB would report unless you seem to think there is something new you read about.
Once again tomorrow is a morning meeting of Living Strong at the Y with other cancer friends. Then it's our monthly Northside out to lunch church group dining at McAlister's. Woo, Hoo!
One more thing. My balance continues to maintain the Fri. PT improvement. I am so grateful that Michael and Daren have forced ear crystals to return home. Blessings on them and all others who have the same skills. I've done that procedure before but it has it's difficulties. Learning compensation skills thinking vertigo was gone was an oops. I should receive an A+ on the next cane test.
