Another pretty pot of flowers made it to the garden.                                   I've read this is another common thing found in a country garden.  Well, so I've read.  The yellow flowers in the pot are in bud form currently.

Another morning of no rain so I was out looking around again...as usual.  Everything looked as good as possible with as much drinking water as the plants could hold.  It was time to think about a hair cut for the little blue iris.  I must admit it was an easy thing to do with the hedge clippers that were a Christmas gift a couple of years ago.  And the cut was pretty even.

There's a litle clean up on aisle 3!  When I received the clippers I thought I didn't need it.                            Well, I was big time wrong. It's a great tool when it's get rid of Susan time in the fall.

I found a little nasturtium growing under all the mess.  I have no idea how it arrived at that spot.  Later in the day it was moved to another home.

As usual the birds did plenty of entertaining.  I caught Mr. Red Bellied WP doing his thing.  He has an unbelievable long neck.  Who would have thought it.  The peanuts are the drawing card. Yum, yum.

                                                                      Hungrey bird

I spent more time on the garden walk scraping out grass that really was horrible grass and doing more planting.  I'm getting some interesting ideas that are pulling me along to keep working.  The last time I worked on that walk I declared it would be my last. Those stones are HEAVY. Well, I guess I changed my mind a bit.  This time I'm working on making it a bit easier with what I call a creative twist.

I think black mulch after Preen in the cracks will top the area off. Another last time effort.     Lenten Roses, ferns, thyme, succlents, nasturtium and who know what else.  Time will let me know.

This job is doing a number on my hips.  I found a bottle with pills this afternoon that gave me some help.

A few other places needed some help.  It's crazy how once there was plenty of room in a bed for all to be happy and now there is not enough room.  So the grouchy bergmont was moved to where there was more room with the absance of shade given by neighbors living way to close. More bergmont needs to be relocated.  It's their third move in about 4 years.

The first year for the tall bergmont.  The scrubby stuff behind was relocated today.  HELP! I heard.

So I futz in the garden as usual.  I planted all but the last Dahlia.  But I know where it's going to go. The last wire for support from Ace came home.  One major event was removing more jonquil leaves.  And believing all were taken care of until I noticed two more bunches.  I ignored them but will be ready to x them when this next bit of rain is gone.

Jonquils gone, Sweet Woodruff transplanted along the patio edge.                                                                         Annuals will be planted in the bare space beyond.

Yes, there is more rain until sometime around tomorrow evening so they say.  We'll probably need it badly in August. More predicted in a few days.  The upstairs person is helping alot. Maybe to much!

Six pots of sunflowers are progressing.  There will be a few more to share with neighbors.

I thinned out some Lenten Roses relocating them to the walk area.  There could be space for a couple more on the walk..  That also gave other things more room.  So the rythmn continues... dig and move, replant and then do it all over again.  Fun, I would say.  Others would not agree.

As you can tell my spell check isn't working.  I need ANDREW!
