Friday

Different shades of green with coral bells.  The bells will not be here for long.

My goodness.  Another Friday added to my life.  I'll take as many as I can get.  Another early morning but this time an hour later or close to it.  All my life mornings have been early for me but perhaps not quite as early as lately.  I can't say the same for my sister.  She was a sleeper as long as I can remember, continuing in that grove to this day 90 some years later.

Why do I continue to picture cabbage?  Because I think it is a beautifully made vegetable.

I did all the inside stuff and then started working on the outside stuff.  The ground in the butterfly garden seemed pretty workable so I fluffed that dirt that certainly discouraged the weeds that were getting a grip on a whole lot of space.  The canna appeared.  I was surprised to see they had moved a bit or maybe I forgot where I dug holes for them.  Everything else stayed where I put it.  The zinnias got another head chop.  The plants are showing great results.  I have a friend Angela.  When I try to find her house when delivering something I declare she has moved it before every delivery.  It's never is where I think I will find it.  Same with cannas, you might say.

                                                                            A new vision.

When that garden was pretty well finished I moved on to the path again moving a few things and adding more.  I finally called that part finished and continued with spreading a whole bag of black mulch. The energy bucket was EMPTY after one bag.  So I quit.  Smart aren't I!  The plan was to finish the walk in the evening.  It still could happen and then maybe not.

                                                            Final word...finish tomorrow.

The afternoon was spent with Doug and the Eye Doctor, Dr. Young.  And yes, he is a young thing just starting practice.  Doug usually communicates all is well with very few other comments after his visits.  This time I had a list of questions that needed answers about Glock coma and macular degeneration issues. I went with him. Sometimes these eye issues are worse when found.  Doug is at the beginning of each of these and if one has them, the beginning spot is a good place to be. Well, one eye is very slowly approaching the middle point.  So eye doctors appointments are a good thing to have. Glock coma is heredity.  His grandfather lost his sight in his 90's. Doug has taken eye vitamins for years. He will continue.

Rue reflected in the ball.  I found two baby rue that will find a new home soon.                                      Another place butterflies like to lay their eggs for their babies to eat after hatching.

Home again and I was a bit wiped from the morning stuff.  And yes the chair happened.  Supper was wonderful soup from the neighbor Kathy.  What a treat.

After waiting for two years for Holly Hock flowers from the U P of Michigan, there should be flowers.         Holly Hocks are biannual. That means it takes two years from planting till flowering.                                               Then one must start all over again.  There will be quite a few blooming soon.

Another interesting day.  Doug closed down the outside after supper while I was blogging so the decision to finish the walk was made.  Tomorrow, tomorrow tomorrow.  It's only a day away. And I need to finish folding the wash.  That job is one Doug, like his dad did for his mother, gifts me with every week.  What a guy!

Feverfew.  A perennial madisinal herb.  What does it fix.  I haven't a clue but AI says...migraines.                   Well, it seems to fix everything.  Don't take my word. It has tiny little daisy like flowers.                          This plant is about to bloom.  It's a new one for me this year. What will I do with it?      Nothing.  Just look at it.
