                                                     So many sculptures massive in size.  

This will be short on words and maybe long on pictures.  I'm going to share wonderful sculptures. 

                                                                        Beautiful colors

The morning started at 5:30 with the alarm telling me to rise and shine, which I promptly did.  And so did Doug since he thought he wanted the car.  So after you know what, he drove me to Kathy's house where Patty and her 98 year old mother picked us up to start the trip north at 7:00.  And that happened.  Mother Sue is a remarkable lady who has all her faculties keeping track of everything.  She walked the walk with us using her stroller walker and eventually a wheel chair.  I could have used one of those as well but plodded on through the day.  


All four of us bought pram tickets that took us completely around the perimeter of the park. That  gave us an overview of everything.  We walked back to a few spots where we wanted to spend more time. We had a lovely lunch together as well as a stop at McDonalds on the way home for a supper snack.

A lot of pictures were taken.  A few things as I had remembered from years ago while there with my cousin Ada.  But a lot was new and better.  It was a wonderful day of being together with long time best friends.  It was back home again by 9 pm. Another good memory to enter into the memory bank.  

            This horse looks like it is made from drift wood.  Nope.  Metal...I think they said bronze.  

More tomorrow.  I'm off to bed soon.  It's almost 10.

                                   A nice ending to an interesting day.  Fresh flowers are always refreshing.  I woulad call this a little crazy day.  Meaning the unexpected was part of the morning.  But first... A great night of sleep again thinking it was six o'clock when it really was seven.  Now an extra hour of sleep never hurt anyone.  There was breakfast of course with a little TV. Yesterday I finished sewing and turning 30 burps, so the order of the morning was to iron all of them with top stitching in mind at some point. And there was time to iron all 30.             I did some straw flower seed saving.  It's a repeat of last fall that worked well this spring. Then it was off to church to pick up and put away all the things that supported the six weeks of sermons on prayer.  I love these lit...

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

 The morning started off with breakfast and then a trip with Eric to Nora where he catches the bus to Indy.  I always love these trips in the winter often accompanied with a beautiful winter sun rise.  The morning light was coming through but it will be even better in another month.  I have taken some beautiful pictures in the early morning.   Home again and I did some sewing and some knitting.  The usual stuff that seems to be the winter work.  Ten more burps and I finished another scarf, one that could have been finished yesterday.  I was thinking no rush which is really true.  There is no rush. All the ripped fabric has been sewn so it would seem new ripping will happen soon. This noon was our first North Side North Church noon lunch instead of supper.  No driving in the dark for three months.  There were eleven of us, a smaller group but we all sat around one long table which was really nice.  And there was so much tal...
