                                                            A nice little patch of marigolds.

Today marks another trip around the sun.  Another day older for sure.  It's been a good day.

I did a little work in the Herb Garden cleaning out a few things that needed attention.  It's sort of like brushing ones teeth.  A little after 10 Dot and Jill arrived to see the garden and they got a big tour.  It was fun to share a little of what makes me tick.  For the next few days or so the garden is in a place where it can take care of itself.  And I'm sure to let that happen filling the days with other necessaries.  

Tomorrow I'm meeting Ramona at her oncologists office. Her friend Kim is in charge of that appointment. Then Ramona and I will be on our way to her eye doctor for another exam with what we hope leads to an appointment for her cataract surgery. That should have happened a month or more ago but was postponed when Ramona was hospitalized.  The hope is that we can nail somethings in place giving Ramona back her sight. This afternoon I made a dry run to these places giving me a little peace about her schedule tomorrow. 

                          Yes, some plants are jammed together.  Three different colors, all together.

The rest of the afternoon was pretty simple with a little TV with my eyes closed as the usual happening.  Then it was McAlister's supper with church friends and a lot of talk.  I had a phone call from my sister Mary K.  And the evening proved to be chair time.  Tomorrow will be busy so the slow down tonight is appreciated.

                                   A nice ending to an interesting day.  Fresh flowers are always refreshing.  I woulad call this a little crazy day.  Meaning the unexpected was part of the morning.  But first... A great night of sleep again thinking it was six o'clock when it really was seven.  Now an extra hour of sleep never hurt anyone.  There was breakfast of course with a little TV. Yesterday I finished sewing and turning 30 burps, so the order of the morning was to iron all of them with top stitching in mind at some point. And there was time to iron all 30.             I did some straw flower seed saving.  It's a repeat of last fall that worked well this spring. Then it was off to church to pick up and put away all the things that supported the six weeks of sermons on prayer.  I love these lit...

Red sails in the morning, Sailors take warning.   The warning sign was miss thinking about a wonderful day with a gorgeous sunrise, but it turned into anything but wonderful. And after yesterday's blog entry, what was hoped to be a good week had a dismal beginning.  Jared called to tell us that Sunday evening Wyatt, their beautiful red poodle stopped eating and by three in the morning of Monday as Jared was driving to Lancing to the Vet at Michigan State, Wyatt died.  Wyatt was one wonderful dog in every sense of the word.  Smart, friendly, protective with absolute understanding about so many things.  Today and the days ahead will be days of mourning eventually becoming times of reflections about all the good that Wyatt brought to us.  His camping chair is now sitting in our living room reminding us of that goodness he gifted us.  After hearing about this event, I took a walk outside to clear my head and heart and found the first of many crocus bl...

 The morning started off with breakfast and then a trip with Eric to Nora where he catches the bus to Indy.  I always love these trips in the winter often accompanied with a beautiful winter sun rise.  The morning light was coming through but it will be even better in another month.  I have taken some beautiful pictures in the early morning.   Home again and I did some sewing and some knitting.  The usual stuff that seems to be the winter work.  Ten more burps and I finished another scarf, one that could have been finished yesterday.  I was thinking no rush which is really true.  There is no rush. All the ripped fabric has been sewn so it would seem new ripping will happen soon. This noon was our first North Side North Church noon lunch instead of supper.  No driving in the dark for three months.  There were eleven of us, a smaller group but we all sat around one long table which was really nice.  And there was so much tal...
