In my heart.
In my heart there rings a melody. Yes...many songs of thanksgiving. Another mile marker in my journey called life here on earth. Yesterday afternoon continued with a great visit with Kathy. She traveled this radiation road a few years ago. After my first visit in the radiation world with Kathy we closed the radiation experience with a Dairy Queen drive through visit and then a wonderful time together in the shade of some very old trees in the Carmel Cemetery talking and talking about just everything. Those who know us well will not be surprised about our location.
We birthday celebrated with Eric and his family at OUT BACK restaurant. Me sitting in between my two great wonderful grandsons.. It was our first visit to a restaurant since the Covid experience started. The grandsons received their second shot a few days ago and will be safe in a few more days. The food smelled wonderful and my small cup of fruit was the choice along with a protein drink. Doug's half of a hamburger proved to be a challenge he did not enjoy. Tues a call will be made to the surgeon with some decisions being made after a visit.
Susan...Her surgery proved to be a 7 hr. instead of a 9 hr. with good margins determined about cancer removal. Susan is a talker. Her challenge will be to keep her mouth quiet using a white board for communicating. She will make it a good challenge, I am sure.
Today...a trip to church to deliver once again the Pentecost plants. They sure like water and will be tended with care during the week here. The tropical plant's leaves are receiving lots of sun which leads to the leaves developing lots of red color. I've been working in the garden this morning digging out all the remaining zinnias that are very deformed and not growing. I planted a few seeds which should be soon on their way because of heat and predicted rain this week. Gardeners...always full of hope.
Speaking of HOPE. Yesterday one of the reminder gifts from my angel nurses included a wrist bracelet with the words RADIATE HOPE. I will wear it with honor and hope.
Oh...another hymn...My hope is build on nothing less than Jesus blood and rightousness. On Christ the solid rock I stand. A song to open and a song to close. God is HERE!
