It's a beautiful day.
Yes...a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Thank you Mr. Rogers for that reminder. CNN plays Cheers theme song. I'm loving it. Sometimes you need to go where everybody knows your name. That's called community. Choir fills that need for the Russell's. So today is community choir church day. Because of the snow storm Thursday's choir rehearsal was canceled. There's a 30 minute rehearsal time Sun. mornings so never fear! We'll be ready.
Not much planned for the day. I should make a grocery stop for jello. That's still a big favorite and one that remains very tolerable. I'm sure to be messing with snow on the patio. Hearing the birds chirp brings a smile. Outside is good.
Here is a sweet little Junco not wanting to show its face. Juncos are a dark charcoal color with white tummies hopping through the snow looking for food. It's not nine o'clock yet and the Bluebirds, Red-Bellied and Downey Woodpeckers, Warbler, Cardinals and Sparrows, and Juncos have been by. And you guessed it the Starlings. follow all the others to the feeder. I guess all God's children need to eat. The Starlings have plenty of options, just not the Bluebird food.Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. And they're always glad you came.
You want to be where you can see our troubles are all the same. You want to be where everybody knows your name.
So many communities, including the community of birds, all with names, delighted to see them. From time to time that community also has a common experience of trouble. We are more alike than not.
