Starting in a good place Green Bay!
The first Sunday.
The morning started early at Green Bay, Wis. Home of the PACKERS. I told Doug that it would appear that the wide-open highway and they are huge I would suggest because of Football, was made for just the three cars that I saw for some time. The view out the window was trees, trees, trees. Lots of trees. That went with long stretches of road with nothing but trees. That was until we got to Baraga with the first citing of Lake Superior. The lake for some was hiding with fog so the view was a bit limited to no more than 6 feet at the edge of the lake. The road took us inland for a while and when we saw Superior again, she was up to all the beauty that is hers. Even an ore boat was part of the view. We discovered that the sand once again covered the beach at Great Sand Bay. It was gone for the last 3 years. Sand can move on and off the beaches depending on the lake.
2022 Camp Site, Copper Harbor, Mi.We arrived at Copper Harbor at noon. That’s an earlier time for us. The kids were busy moving campsites which
makes them nearer to ours. Scheduling
was a bit of a problem this year. Our
camping sites are separated by a site in between us but we’re close enough for
all to be good.
Doug and I started setting up the dining fly and the kids
eventually joined us when their moving was more or less finished. The tent was their assignment which once
again and was masterfully completed.
Lots to talk about and a whole lot of laughing nearly split my sides with hurt.
And Adam is my
favorite grandchildren –
ADAM IS THE BEST AND HE IS AMAZING (This, all about
Adam, is his amazing addition.)All five are my favorites.
The weather is a bit cooler than Indy. I’m wearing a sweater jacket, Doug has his
flannel jacket on and coffee fills what’s missing. Soup and crackers for supper and there will
be a fire in the evening with giant marshmallows to add to the
entertainment.
It’s been a good day starting a wonderful two weeks in the
UP again.
