Friday

Easy start to the day with all the usual routine.  Kimmy was working on painting a shirt again, this time for Eli.  It's a mind-craft character.

Around ten Jared, Doug and I headed for Dow Gardens.  Kimmy had an Adam project.  Wow.  It's a beautiful huge park with lots to look at.  First are the big bugs.  Most are at least 8 ft tall.  I think we found at least 6 while on the walk.

We spent time in the children's garden. The plants were at their best and if they weren't they were gone and the ground was being prepared for new plantings.

This big pig was in the children's garden.  A few other animals were hanging around.                      Beautiful plants were everywhere.

We walked to an area where there at least a 1/2 mile of elevated walkways that allowed a trip through the tree canopy among white pines, oak, and maple trees.  We had a birdseye view of a planned apple orchard in its beginning stages, a wonderful children's play area, and more.  A real treat to be among the birds which were flying under the walkways.

On the way home with Doug in the car, we stopped at Dahlia Hill giving him a chance to see a beautiful sight.

It was another morning of a new experience that contained a LOT of walking.  Back home we had lunch and then an afternoon of a whole LOT of sleeping on and off.  Woo.  Two very different activities for this day.  I would say maybe we were bushed!

But more to do.  The Meridian H. S. Football game was on the calendar.  Jacob played at half time and it was such a fun experience reminding me of far to many years in the past with football in our town about 10 miles east of Canton, Ohio housing the football hall of fame these days!  Meridian, the school of choice won the game.  Fun, fun, fun!!!
