Monday

I'm showing you two Zinnia plants that are way over 5 ft. 1inches tall.  Crazy Zinnias.  It's a little challenging to see the flower when they are way up there but perfectly placed for the butterflies.  Another Zinnia measures 6 feet tall.

One plant not pictured is at least 6 ft tall. Yes, all that white fuzz is mine.

Reminds me of dacron poly fill.  Ugh!

The day started with the usual routine.  On my walk through the garden, the message was clippers and Artemesia.  Yes.  It's time to start preparing for winter.  The blue cans need to receive an offering every week.  Artemesia is planted at a few places and I cleared the areas leaving a mound of Artemisia plants ready for Blue.

There were three piles of Artemesia to work from.

Then the thought came that the piles on the ground were beautiful silvery white in color and such a shame to pitch..  I remembered some beautiful Artimesia wreaths that Doris prepared for the Advent decorations.  Thinking...  Change in plans.  I chose the best from the group and now find them hanging to dry in the garage.  How that material will be used remains to be determined but it will be available.
The garage ceiling looks full but there are a few more empty hooks.                              Pollen released covered the car this afternoon.

A phone call mid-morning and the roofing folks arrived to determine what needed to happen to fix the roof leak.  An attic snoop, ladders up to the roof, and a little caulk here and there is the solution with the hope that all is fixed.  We'll see.  Roof leaks are hard to find.

                                          One more sleep.

The suitcase is on the bed filled with clothes for our Michigan trip.  I must remember to retrieve the cookies from the freezer and better yet, put them in the car.  I did a good refrigerator clean-out,  packed the computer and add a knitting project.  I'm sure there will be fall gardening projects waiting.  There are two very attractive public gardens waiting to be visited in Midland.  Soccer games and a half-time band show is a must-do..  We hope to see Kimmy's sister Vikki and her parents.

Seattle and Denver Monday night football will closed the day but not before a late afternoon trip to the bank for some cash.  The car is filled with gas and  I'm ready for Tuesday.
