Christmas Day Sunday.

It's feeling like a very strange day.  No routine to follow  After last nights cold setting attending Sunday morning church was an option I just didn't want to make part of the day's routine.  I thought about  Second Presbyterian as the morning was progressing  Then I just decided not to move in that direction.  In fact not moving in any direction was the option I chose.  I did a little TV watching and then the day was taken over by sleep.  It seemed that the body was choosing that over any other choices available.

The birds got the attention they needed.  Birds?  I would say Starlings.  They took over the feeding station with gusto.

This starling is flapping his wings trying to stay steady on the suet.

We had a long face time visit with the Michigan Russells after a whole lot of texting with the grandsons.  Pictures came with Eli's kitty wearing his best of all hats that were sent north last week.

We heard about gifting.  It's always interesting to discover what kids the ages of all the Russell boys declare they need for survival

Time was spent with Green Bay and Miami football teams.  It was a good interesting but always-changing game with Green Bay coming out on top as should happen.

Andrew's many Rubic's cubes, triangles and more shapes that I can identify.                                                              He added a few more this Christmas to his collection.

Around 6 we were off to Eric and Kats and the kids for supper and another chance to see gift giving results.  An unexpected added bonus was to meet two of Kat and Eric's best buddy friends visiting from California, The evening developed with a great Christmas meal of ham and sweet potatoes among other things including two great deserts. We included a great card game of 3/13 accompanied with lots of laughter.

.Back home with time to wind down from the day enjoying a warm house a little more TV adding that warm blanket and then heading off to bed at 12 pm.

'A wonderful quiet way to spend the day.  Sleeping, talking to the Michigan family and visiting in the evening with our Carmel kids.   It appears that our family get-together will happen the weekend of January 7th.  A whole lot of fun to look forward to.  By the 6th we should be out of the deep freeze for sure unless we're back in again.  Dear Winter is just a bit unpredictable.
