End of the work week Friday.
Same old same old this morning. Nothing new, everything old. Same old crossword and wordle routine, breakfast, bird feeding. Just the same old.
I learned a long time ago that retired people still work. They just can choose when to do that and what to do and how long to do it. Pay So the latest projects have kept me busy. Some folks would say that's work but I will add the word fun. It's fun to take something that is nothing. Change the form and wallah, it's something. So the morning was filled with the sewing machine motor noise again and the baby blanks are moving closer to the finish line. I' worked on a bib but the one pictured will need a little change in construction. That's the next thing on the to do list after the blankets are finished although I did sneak one in just for a try.
A few adjustments coming.
Tulip and Daisy are looking very healthy. There could be a change with tonights temperatures in the 40 degree range.
The hope is that this afternoon there will be cookies to eat. I got all the way to getting the molasses jar out of the cupboard yesterday. For some reason, it was still on the counter this morning. Currently, all the ingredients are on the counter. The cookies are a little closer. I'm ready for another molasses cookie. Yum. They are so good.
Cookie Dough and it's not the icecream.kind.Cookies happened mixed before supper and baked after supper. That's a first for me. They needed to be refrigerated before baking../ The hardest thing about making molasses cookies is finding the molasses in the store. I went to several and Kroger had two on the very top shelf. I guess it's not a big market item. How sad!
They finally arrived. The 9:30 pm news is 5 crib blankets finished completely!!!! Two more need knotting..
