Thursday
Woo...It's a windy, blustery day. That's Winny the Pooh talking. I planned to take a walk around the garden and the wind was blowing the water right out of the birdbath. The bird feeders were swinging like the squirrel had just disembarked. The noise was impressively loud racing through the pine trees. I waited for a later walking time. A check on the body tells me that the hamstrings are a bit tight this morning. Just a bit. Yesterdays trimming is impressing the body. I hope I have more body sense this spring compared to other years. I hate tight, tight hamstrings and other sore muscles. One tight I can deal with.
You have heard me mention Doris Douglas. Her husband Bill was known to their grandchildren as Pooh. This saying hung in their breakfast room. When her daughters were cleaning her apartment at the Forum for the last time they offered this Pooh calligraphy to me. It was created for Pooh by a good calligraphy friend of Dougs. It hangs in my TV room.
Wordle...Me in three...Kat in one. What's with that girl? Andrew in four...Jared in six. Just a little of everything this morning. Crossword was a little far out.
Sweet memories from a couple of years ago. There should be baby lambs anytime now at the Rockin'R Ranch near Hope Michigan. The flock has been greatly reduced to 7 mothers to be. There will be single births, twins, and perhaps a set of triplets. The day was pretty simple. I tried for time outside but it just couldn't happen. There seemed to be quite a bit of rain during the night and the ground was FULL. It was an inside day with the machine again. This time 5 bibs appeared for a day's work. There is a total of 60 bibs now. I've got to get them to the babies who need them. That will be a Saturday job.
Tonight I discovered another bolt of Beth fabric that has excellent possibilities for the inside part of the bib. I may need to use two layers to provide a bit of bulk. But there is plenty of fabric. A little of the bolt is in the washing machine now to see how it does with bib washings.
The beat goes on.
