Friday

Back home again in Indiana.  It all happened today.  We saw the kids off to school.  Talked a bit and by 9 we were headed south stopping for gas soon after we left and then it was again one of those none stop trips until the car entered the garage.  We can always figure the trip to be three two hour hops along.  Starting at Indy to Fort Wayne with the next hop to Lancing and then the last on to Hope Michigan.  We just did it backward today.  The trip is relatively easy in my book of trips.

The wegilia buch is loaded with flowers.  The older it gets the better it looks.  I'll add that Doug looks after this bush every year trimming and snipping to keep it's best side front and center.

Upon arriving home one of the first things to do even before the car is unpacked is to wee what is happening in the garden.  Consenses said that it was a dry three days that happened.  So...car unpacked allowed the watering cans with water making a difference even with rain predicted.  It's easy to think...rain predicted...It will miss us.  So I watered going back over a few things that were just emerging from seed.  Those are delicate little gifts.

                                            The morning sun.

We had a huge salad supper since lunch was not on the cards.  And by 7:30 i was hearing rain on the roof.  Not a bad sound at all.  So the earth has once again been watered finishing off the day with another great gift.

Last night's rain makes a healthy garden. Becky Daisys are looking great.

The time with the Michigan family has been a wonderful experience witnessing some of those important markers in the life of the grandsons.  Leaving hurts but we'll meet again this summer in August at Copper Harbor.

A whole garden of milkweed waiting for the Monarchs.

Tomorrow begins with a trip to church finishing some visual plans for Sunday.

  1. Sounds like a great visit! Did Jacob go to school, too, or is he completely and finally and ultimately finished with high school?
