Saturday.
Not a whole lot on the dance card today. Did a garden walk as usual. Solved an easy crossword and finished wordle in six. That was the last try before grade zero.
While in the garden I found another Monarch caterpillar so the cage needed to go back to supporting milkweed. I looked several times for more caterpillars but so far the number is only one. I'll keep looking since the Monarch butterfly was dipping and diving around the milkweed this morning.
Marcia, Jacob, and DennisWe have camped with the Owens family for at least 30 years. That includes their two daughters a bit younger than Eric and Jared and now some years adding their grandchildren as well as ours in the camping experience. This August we will do it all over again with our grandson but not their grandchildren. Raylynn and Domonic will be missed.
Dennis and Marcia called while on the way to Jacob's graduation party. They live in Novi just outside of Detroit. We had a great visit which would have been better in person. It's sort of Boo Hoo time wishing we could be with everyone. I just didn't think it was a great idea so close to surgery even though I got a go-ahead from the surgeon even before the surgery date. This surgery was a bit more difficult with the anesthesia. I will do an I-U report soon sharing the experience! Jared and Kimmy have sent pictures of the party which helps a lot. And we faced time talking with more family members.
A few of Jacobs's music awards received at his high school awards ceremony. Onward...Go Spartans.
A green and white event with lots of food and friends. So it was another day of taking it easy still looking for improvement in the surgery site. Like many things, time is the answer. I'll get there eventually. Guaranteed.
Snapdragons. The workhorse of the garden. There will be more colors soon.
Thanks for the pictures of Jacob's party. I hope his parents get more on their blog.
