July 22 Saturday

Today started with the usual.  It was a Saturday Bread and Bowl day at church.  I dropped off a bucket of vegetables and a pot of geraniums at the carriage house where Bob and Rita Schilling will be living.  It will be fun having them as "neighbors" although checking today will make them a 2-mile neighbor.

This picture was taken about two weeks ago.  There are all kinds of buds ready to burst forth now.

Then on to church for a morning of work.  We were busy preparing food but seemed to get it finished at a record pace.  We were busy and most of the food was gone by 12.

It's hibiscus time.  Remember this beauty from last year.  This is the first flower.                                                              Once again about 8 inches from edge to edge.

This afternoon the memorial service for Larry Sanner was held.  I stayed at church attending part of the service and then headed on home at 3:15.  It was a rather long day.  I had lunch when I got home.  checked the garden finding big cucumbers and more tomatoes starting to ripen.

I had the customary nap and watched a little TV.  The day was a bit different using time for others.                                                        In the evening there was time for me.

A nice combination of colors in the garden.   There was a nice visit with neighbor baby James                                 and his parents.  They went home with some tomatoes and cucumbers.
