july 28 Friday Vacation report.
We will be leaving early Sunday morning for Green Bay, Wisconsin staying overnight there. Monday we'll do the rest of the trip ending at Copper Harbor. I've always journaled at the end of each day but this year I'm choosing not to write. The reason. The internet is slim to none at our campsite. In order to post an entry I need to walk the computer to an area where I can write and send. The speed to send is a very slow, very slow process. This year, I'm on vacation, I'll say a real vacation that has no expectations. We will be back home on August 16th. In order to use our Iphones we need drive to places cell phones work There are few cell towers in the U P.
This morning while working on the crossword puzzle on the patio, I suddenly realized that the sun became hidden behind a very dark blue rain cloud. We had a wonderful rainstorm with lots of wind that blew away all the heat of the night. What a surprise that continued through the morning.
Chuck full of food. We are all set. One drawer is full of garden vegetables. Fresh vegetables are almost impossible to find at the C H store. It's a short growing season in the north country.Neighbor Susie brought these tomatoes to our door this morning. The bag was full with enough to share with Rita and Bob tomorrow.
I did a brief run to Aldis for a few things between raindrops. I'm feeling finished with what we need to take. I baked a batch of cookies. Bagged them and found space in the drawers that will go in the car tomorrow. Using drawers for storage is an easy way to see what I have. The drawers will stay in the car. It's one of those bear safety things.
Cookies for the grandsons. We'll stop at the fish store in Handcock for our usual pounds of smoked Lake Trout. Add a pasty or two for other meals. It's two weeks of kiss...keep it simple sweety.
It looks as if you ready ready ready. I will look forward to August 17 when there may (or may not) be a new posting. Take it easy. Those chairs are meant for sitting and napping.
