Big Wednesday.

 A long time ago it was wash on Monday, iron on Tues. something on Wednesday and Thursday and I think bake on Friday at our house and clean on Saturday.  Monday at this house this week was play on the sewing machine...Oh, yes, and Christmas Day.  Tues was bake and cook and today was clean and put together a cookie recipe.  The house is clean.  Well, some of it.  Doug doesn't like me messing in his two rooms on the lower level.  So I really try not to.  It's not very clean according to my rules.  He's happy.  

                                        It looks like Adam might have been on the naughty list.  

Washed and waxed the kitchen floor.  Swept the dining room polished the furniture and swept and dusted in the living room. I did a great job on the upstairs bathroom. I even blew off the patio which is one of the more important things that keeps the house clean. The outside really gets tracked inside from that wind-blown outside spot. 

We have an extra resident in this house.  We've never seen him or her but we see a lot of bird seed piles from time to time.  We've tried trapping but it never has worked.  She/he never leaves poop.  I'm guessing it's not a mouse.  Today I moved the hide-a-bed and there was a huge pile of seeds.  Bird seed.  It's such a mystery.  We have hot water baseboard heat and I think this little creature crawls along the pipe holes.  At one time the dining room was the favorite room to eat in.  Such a mystery.  I cleaned that surprise mess.  

                                Does this look like cookie dough or more like cake batter?                                                                          We'll see what happens tomorrow.  I'm hoping for cookies. 

I put together a cookie recipe and it's in the refrigerator overnight.  I'm not really sure but I think I put 5 eggs in instead of 4.  Now that's a problem. I was talking to Doug. I'll finish tomorrow I hope with a good outcome..  


In the afternoon I made a final run for gift cards.  That's finished.  I've never been this late but it is what it is.  Wrapping presents is not one of my favorite things to do and some years the stockings are filled with nothing wrapped.  I just stuffed things in.  But late this afternoon I started wrapping and that's on the done list for the year 2023.  All done and all wrapped.  



So I think we're closing in on ready!  I wish my windows were clean.  We'll see what happens tomorrow.  They may just stay on the wish list.  Life will go on.  There was another game of 3/13 after another chili supper.  So it was a very busy day.  I don't think the kids will move the old folks to the home.  We're buzzing along right here at 10420 with one exception.  I forgot to take pictures today.

Wed. I'm back Thanks be to God!

This time I hope I'm back for a very long time.  The computer with pictures is finally a go and all the excitement of Sunday is over.   I don't know if I've recovered yet.  There are a few more days before the next Sunday.   For those few who don't know it was another hospital stay of a couple of days.  And it all started in the pew at church with a pass out  seizure type of thing. I think something to do with high sugar perhaps.  The whole service came to a halt for a while.  How embarrassing with a carry out by the good old EMTS.   Lots of tests I guess.  I don't remember a thing until Sunday evening with a trip into a scan machine.  I got released Tuesday and today I visited my primary care doctor for answers and I'm pretty well satisfied.  Two days in bed have really made me wobbly so I'm pretty careful about moving around.  It should get better soon.  I won't be driving for a while because of the seizure.  That's a huge bummer.  The seizure medi

Saturday.

 Today was the every other Saturday for Soup Kitchen work at church.  But before that I was up at 6 with breakfast and a little sewing time.  By 8 I was on my way to church to be at the door when Tosha would be arriving.  Sarah Ellen is in Italy for the week.  One person short makes a whole lot of difference when the soup kitchen crew is at it's usually small size.  Jack arrived earlier than usual so that was a big help and the new Cindy crew of two more folks made work time even easier.  Sometimes I feel like it's a guess who is coming to work now added to the guess who is coming to lunch.  The crowd wasn't as large as usual.  We just never know.  I say it's a crap shot not to be figured out!                                                I hope to have a lot of these orange cosmos this summer.   The morning work flew along.  I talked with Heidi about my ideas for Easter decorations.  The Easter banners are back at church and a few more decisions have been made.  Easte
