Saturday.
I forgot to post!!!! So here goes my Sunday morning memory of Saturday. Older folks are up and about...Younger sleeping till who knows when! Andrew and Noah arrived and once again it was card game time with Kimmy and Jared and Grandma and Grandpa.
We decided to hit the road with Goodwill in mind resulting in two sheets for more coverups. Yes!!! It's a good deal at 3.99 each making 12 cover-ups for nursing mothers. You have to love those Goodwill sheets! Then it was off to Wild Birds for our annual visit. Jared/Kimmy got some neat add-ons to their pole of Wild Bird pole collection. Their summer flocks of Orioles will be happy. I got more black sunflower seeds for the Carmel birds.
Then it was on to get doughnuts for the always Saturday event of doughnuts.
Arriving back home most of the Michigan kids were up ready to eat doughnuts.
Four of the big five. Eli is missing. Impossible to play pardoners with five players and SkipBo. One last game! There was more card playing and Kiimy entertained herself by fixing my couch which has been showing its age for a long time. Kimmy is good like that.
After lunch and more card games, the Michigan family collected their stuff and the car was loaded for the trip back home leaving around 2 and arriving home at 7:30 or so. Yikes. That's again a little faster than Doug. Well, a whole lot faster than Doug's speed. I'm guessing Jared is a good typical Michigan driver.
Woo, the house was very quiet after that. I cleaned up the kitchen and collected a few more water bottles and pop cans. Not so many but a few! The kids did better this year. NO...the kids did an excellent job with the trash!
Then a phone call came from Eric...COVID! We've all been exposed so now it remains to be seen what develops. 👇😒 I have extremely itchy eyes which I just learned could be one of the symptoms. I just heard Doug cough. It would be a 2023 miracle is we didn't get it since Eric was here with all the symptoms. No church for Sunday from a Doc. H. order. Since we both were exposed for hours I think isolation would be futile. Oh, well...we had fun while it lasted.
