Tuesday.

The work week has begun.  No more sitting around playing on the sewing machine.. It's up and att'em.  I slept till 7 this morning.  Woo.  I did most of the morning stuff and then off to Aldi's to help open the store.  After an hour I left for a quick trip to Kroger and then home.  That was a very long shopping morning.  The house is stuffed with food which took another hour to find a place on the shelf.  That hour also included cleaning out the refrigerator and finding old stuff that had to go.  Eric/family and Jared/family and Christmas will be here on Thurs, Fri, and Saturday.  Jared is known to clean out the refrigerator giving me an evil eye. I think I beat him to it. It was a very big morning.

                                                                Chex Mix for all.

The afternoon was given to cooking for the end of the week.  I would rather play when the company is here instead of work.  So today it was work.  There is Chili, Sloppy Joes, Breakfast Roll, and two icecream type containers filled with Chex Mix.  Water and Dr. Pepper are in the refrigerator.  Tomorrow I'll hardboil eggs for egg salad and bake Jared's favorite.  NOT saying what that is but I heard. We won't starve.

                                                            A big bucket of chili.

The stockings need filling.  Santa is a little late here. Or I could just report that the good list is a little shy this year.  Now wouldn't that make everything just a bit easier by claiming they were naughty and NOT nice? It's been reported that there could be a joke or two from Santa. I get a little nervous about that.  A repay of last year's joke has been reported to be posted on Friday's agenda.

Breakfast rolls are now safely in the freezer along with two large pizzas.

I scrubbed the downstairs bathroom getting a jump on tomorrow's cleaning day. Got to be ready!  Years ago I heard that kids look around to see if their OLD parents can still take care of themselves.  I'm really trying to stay on top of things. and so far I think I have at least a B grade. On my best days, I never did earn an A.

Supper was some chili with an evening ahead where my feet were up and I wrapped myself in my electric throw, asleep from time to time before it was time to go to bed. Another great day tomorrow getting ready for three days of fun.  All fun with a whole lot of card playing, I hope.
