Tuesday
There was nothing unusual about the start of the day. The same old same old on just about everything. I was at the sewing machine at 6:15. That was a little unusual. I wanted to finish up the last of the fabric and with another early hitch after taking Eric to Nora I finished ALL the sewing around 9:30. All of the fabric was changed into something not called a sheet.
It was time to start exploring Goodwills. But I needed gas so back to Nora for a gas fill up. Then a little stop to see what was new at the Nora Goodwill. And they had new. I found 5 sheets. Two twins and 3 Kings each for 3:99. And that was the end of shopping. Was I happy or was I not? I wasn't quite sure. Really happy with the bargains. All 3.99 each. But the morning fun was cut short. I wan't going to buy any more so why spend the gas? I had no good reason to move to another store.
A nice collection of new stuff.I'm finding out that there are few sheets that are 100 percent cotton. Things change and the nylon/cotton sheets are filling the need perhaps even better than those 100 percenters.
So the rest of the day was spent figuring out the best way to get the most 28 by 36 pieces out of each sheet. So far there are 17 ready for sewing and then my best guess is 18 more to get ripped That should keep me busy for a while.
I ordered more boneing which arrived today just as I was cutting the first purchase into the last of 14 inch pieces. They hold the fabric away from the body so the mother can see her baby. Thank goodness I did not see a baby. Woo!
So the beet, the beat goes on. Moving closer to the goal. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can! There was a quick salad for supper and then came chair time along with blogging. It's been another good day.
thanks for the photo - i was not really clear on how the cover-up worked. Now i am.
