Wednesday.
This morning it was spending some time with Eric again and then a stop at Krogers for some Worcestershire sauce. I think the last bottle was the first bottle I bought YEARS ago. I mean years. What else does one need Worcestershire sauce for except Chex Mix. So Chex Mix was on the list of things to do first thing this morning. Doug noticed. Well, his nose gave him a clue.
A pricy ground cloves bottle jumped in the cart with a jar of molasses. I'm thinking of cookies soon.I added bean soup to the to-do list having it for supper and taking some to R and B. I added a bag of Chex Mix!
Today was more sewing of course. . I will admit that sewing takes my mind away from all that's happening outside. And to say it is exciting outside would make you think I was going crazy. It's just a boring spot to be exploring nowadays. Better days are coming.
Now isn't this just wonderful eye candy. A friend is house-sitting and she texted me this picture. Stunning. The geraniums were outside last summer when I visited her. Gorgeous. Some awe over food. Just give me flowers and I do the same.I started early today but not as early as yesterday adding 10 more to the stash at the end of the day. The fabric is easy to work with and when all the pieces needed to assemble, are ready the work goes pretty fast. Today I timed myself and it's a 30-minute job after the pieces are ready. Probably 45 from start to finish for one.
These cover-ups came from a flat twin and a fitted twin.
This evening I watched some TV while preparing fabric for tomorrow. I get excited over king-size sheets and I have two to work on tomorrow. I took out the top hems gaining extra fabric. The beat goes on still feeling like I'm contributing to something worthwhile. That's good for anyone but particularly this little old lady!!!
Jared R called tonight with vacation information. When we get this nailed down our Copper Harbor days will start Jully 22 and end Aug 1. The west campgrounds will close them with a new bathroom going in. It was new 50-some years ago when we first started camping at Fort Wilkins. We'll be home earlier than usual.
