Sunday

 Church was so good today.  SOOOO good.  Everything was SOOOOO good.  The music, prayers, message and being with friends.  Friends bring the cherry!  Yes, Easter service was just great.  Once again Handels Halleluiah Chorus with everyone singing happened.  This congregation surely can be called a singing congregation. Once again we were the last to leave with a final visit in the parking lot!  Kathy and Eric are back from a month in Greece and Albania.  Their kids/families were with them in Greece.  Patty is back for a week this time.  K P Sing was at church with his son.  Just a lot of dear memories with so many folks we haven't seen for a while.

``````````````````The children hid their alleluias in the chest at the beginning of Lent. `````````````````````             Today the chest, filled with flowers and alleluias cards were found throughout the sanctuary.
It was a quick lunch and then time for Purdue and Tenn.  And good old Purdue came through.  I watched about 5 minutes of the game.  Way to nervous to watch more but I caught the last 2 minutes! I could handle that.
        Look what showed up...bleeding heart blooming among the blue bells.  A great combination.
My in-between time was spent in the garden with the loopers taking out the butterfly bushes.  Most are sprouting with new growth which will tempt the butterflies with sweet nectar.  Those bushes do nothing to support caterpillars.  That happens with the three kinds of milkweed growing at other places in the garden. This is such an exciting time of year to see my old friends who have been sleeping all winter.
                                            A bed raked, trimmed and ready for summer.
I took some time to sit a spell and then we were on to Kat and Eric's for our traditional Easter evening meal.  And I now am the owner of the ham bone which will come in handy this week for more than one or two meals.  How lucky are we.
                        Rue that made it through the winter.  Swallowtails lay their eggs on this plant.
It's been a good day with many reasons to give thanks.  To many to list but many that remind me that life is good.  Gratitude after the events of the past weeks only says a small bit of how I feel.
                    The spring crop of lettuce will be huge.  It has a wonderful start toward maturity.
This week will see more PT sessions, time with Heidi at church fussing in the sanctuary to ready it for another Sunday of worship and all the other things that will come as surprises this week.
