Monday
This morning was a morning when the body just didn't do what I wanted to do. Well, that was after I did some looking around the garden. So I just didn't do. I think the deal was still a lot of emotions flowing in a body that was totally exhausted.
This morning I took a rest on the picnic table. This was my view.I tried to push this thing I'm living in with the job of looking for flower volunteers and moving them to a better spot. I found about 6. It's like playing Where's Waldo with plants. I love it. That game worked for a little bit but not for long.
I've often wondered where Carolina Wrens nested. Now I know. That bird with an attitude moved into a house that had a leftover nest from last year. With mealworms near life is good.So what happened next? Mr. Doug took me to see Kathy O. Well, more importantly her garden. She understands me perfectly. It's such a gift to have a friend like Kathy who is also my Daliah Queen. I snagged another one at the plant swap she donated along with friend Laural's contribution. There are six in the garden complements of these two great choir friend ladies.
Then it was back home and the afternoon was easy to write about. I did nothing but sleep.
These little zinnias are beginning to show their better side. I saved the seed from last year's flowers. I found a volunteer tonight that was moved to a dead hole. Don't need any dead holes around here. .Supper was lettuce from the garden. There was one more plant to take care of from yesterday. Our tomato count is now four with the last to plant swap plant being a Roma. It's hard to live without Romas and this one will take great care of us. A place was found after doing a little shifting plants around. All of the spaces are fuller than they ever have been.
Mr. Roma is sitting in a hole filled with compost. He should do well.No more work for today. I think another easy day tomorrow will be what the doctor orders. The calendar is empty. Lots of good memories continue to spin around me.
