Thursday

Better night of sleep..not perfect but good enough for me.  I'll take it and be grateful.   Today I had some energy and that was another thing that was a gift. Currently it seems to be an every other day thing.  I spent some time texting with a new friend Hope.  I love that name.  She is one of Adam's friends.  I hope I can meet her when we go north the next time.

I've tried to catch the pink veining in the hibiscus.

The clippers came out several times today with dead heading in mind and one big blue is filled.  The big blue season is on its way not far away.  I'd like to push it down the road a ways.  A good rain would help that happen.  It is very dry and I really don't want to water trying to spare my hip a bit.  It told me where it was this morning, so I really tried to honor it with not a whole lot of work.  Just some!  Scott free just wasn't going to happen.

Some are here and some have been eliminated.

It was a day at home sort of thing.  A reminder phone call came early afternoon giving me all the information I needed for tomorrow's visit.  I think it's the third time I got the same instructions but better that than not at all. I think they won't that reserved slot filled for sure.  I'm happy to do that.

The neighbors were out walking and stopped in with a nice catch-up time had by all.  They are fairly new to this part of Carmel having down sized.  We have been blessed with their move in. They went home with tomatoes, peppers, basil and chocolate mint.  A must have for morning coffee.  I thought it was time for a phone visit again with Cousin Ada who lives in Goshen, Indiana.  I enjoyed talking with her again and I think it was the same for her.  We grew up together having only a month between our birthdays.

I've borrowed the Vegetables love Flowers book by Ziegler once more. It's a great resource.  In fact, I bought that book for Kimmy one Christmas.

More library books were read. I'm thinking of a transplant for my succulent bowl.  They are crowded in and growing large.  They need some space.  So I'm thinking.  I have a container that would work but checking with Goodwill is another option.  It's always fun to look.

I like this a whole lot.  Not sure how to keep this from spilling if in the house.

We had supper on the patio.  Rain has been predicted all day and I think about 10 drops have arrived.  The clouds just seem to dry up over Carmel.  It's been a little tough lately for the plants.  Fingers crossed for the 6 pm predicted shower.

The world has been washed again.  Well maybe Carmel, Indiana for sure.

The rain came...I can hear the zinnias breathing a sigh of relief.  It should be around for a while.

I found my slicker and with camera in hand headed to the garden.  Those flowers sure were feeling much better some dancing a gig and some singing a song.

Rain drops keep falling on my head.  Remember that song?

Another great day of living.  One more sleep and the day I've been waiting for will be here. It seemed like a very long wait.
