Tuesday.
The morning I called the busy bee morning. The afternoon was a sleeper. I like both kinds. There was a whole lot of doing the first half of the day.
The 4 O'clock were telling us to move out even thought it was only 10 AM. I guess one could say it's 4 o'clock somewhere, Jimmy. Or was that 5 o'clock, Jimmy?Doug was ready before I was, so we got started asap. With his hat in hand, (he says the car won't start without his hat) we were off to get a haircut for me. It's been a while. Thank goodness there were no before pictures. So, Mike got a visit with lots of talk and the snippers did its job.
So pretty, telling us to look quickly. I'll be gone by tomorrow. So, we looked. Then there was a stop at the drugstore for some pills. But before that happened, I asked about flu shots. Seems we could get one even with no reservations. And we added a pneumonia shot since what we had was too old to work. So that got us up to date. Covid is not in the store at this point. I wish it were. I've had some trouble getting diabetic test strips and the druggist got that fixed. And then we picked up the medicine that took us to the drugstore in the first place.
We Mozie'd on over to I U North do get some blood drawn for the Friday Methodist Hospital visit. An iron test was also included in the bloodwork. Yeah! I'm really happy about that added test by Dr. Stout. And that took care of the morning and a little of the afternoon. Done, finished, completed. I was happy to be home again.
Beautiful snapdragons having a little trouble this year competing with last year's dragons. I wonder what will happen next year. I still like them.So with a little lunch I turned on the TV and fell asleep. Woo...half a day seems to be the limit in some respects. So what was the afternoon like. Much the same as I wrote at the beginning of this paragraph. No sewing, no gardening but there was a much-needed visit with neighbor Kathy. She's been visiting family in California and going other places as has husband Bill. So, I just needed to have a chat.
And tomatoes from her garden found their way to our patio table. Yum, yum. They were part of our supper with a chicken pot pie taken from the freezer later in the afternoon.
While we were eating I noticed the western sun shining through the hibiscus flower. So pretty, even nicer when seeing the real thing.Today was one of those button up the edges day getting the ducks in a row with the hope that it will last for a while.
Make way for ducklings!
