Sunday
Day is dying in the west. Heaven is touching earth with rest.
A day of rest and I did a whole lot of that. It was a good night of sleep. Then breakfast and then some chair sitting falling asleep again with an oops when I woke up. It was time to head on to church.
Heidi and I did an early hello to a lot of folks and then it was 11 AM. We got cut off for church to start!!!! It was Health and Healing Sunday Service which I just love. The choir anthem words were just the best with
If You Search with All Your Heart. by Courtney
When you seek Me, you shall find Me if you search with all your heart. For I know the plans I have for you: plans of welfare, not of evil. For I know the plans I have for you: plans of hope and a future. I will bring you out of bondage to the land I have prepared. I will bring you out of bondage, I will bring you home to Me.
It's easy for me to say that what I miss most about not being a choir member is singing the words.
The altar rail was filled with people asking for prayer and oil with four clergy in attendance.
And once again there were few cars in the parking lot when we left. In two weeks, it is Creation Care Sunday, and the children are involved in the service. There is a litany where the children and adults will add visuals as it is being read.
The litany talks about the sun, moon and stars. The stars are ready for the children. We're working on the fire part.We stopped in Nora thinking that Goodwill would be open again and the electricity still has not been restored. Indianapolis has many trees and Helene's winds have brought darkness to many places.
The afternoon was slow with the Colts beating Pittsburg. I think Kansas City came through and the night game should also be a good one.
It's the end of the day on Lake Madora. That little spot in the middle of the picture is a Loon.
So, I really was able to make this a day of rest. The week will be full.
