Wednesday

Today was a pretty easy day.  Nothing doing outside in the garden for me.  The cooler air seems to aggravate a little asthma.  So, it was a mostly inside day.  Maybe I had a little extra sense and used it.  Snow has been predicted for Thursday.  Big bummer since I have a still beautiful patio pot that will probably be gone.

For most of the morning one could find me at the sewing machine futzing again with burps.  The machine needed a little futzing also.  Sometime the devil is living there.  But I figured out how to say some eviction charms and that was the end of the bad guy with the bad stuff.

I finished what was started and made 15 new burps.  This afternoon I realized that the stash of flannel was almost depleted.  Doug took me up on the suggestion of visiting a couple of Goodwills.  We stopped for gas and headed to the Goodwill just east of Castleton Square.  And sure enough, once again they were stacked with flannel sheets.  I chose the bear tree sheet along with a plain gray flannel sheet.  I'll take those plain sheets any day of the week.

Then we headed to Nora and the crazy sheet I left there a couple of days ago, sure enough was still hanging where I put it.  It came home with me.

After the last Goodwill stop, we headed to the library.  Doug returned his books.  It's been some time since I've been there, so I picked up three books of different subjects.  If I read them, I might learn something.  We'll see how that goes.

All of the above took most of the day.  There was NO soup for supper. But. there was a little turkey, mixed vegetables, some cranberry relish and some cooked and then fried in butter potatoes covered with salt and pepper.

That's my favorite way of eating potatoes.

Doug had the pleasure of picking up Eric which with a solo trip.  I stayed home to do the blog.  Eric and Kat are a one car family and with the weather including rain today making it a bus trip part way. Andrew had a youth gathering somewhere on the north side of town needing the car.

I've added some close up pictures from the Brewster nativity.

The business of the day is making the chair a nesting place again, not feeling like a bad idea.  It was different and busy making it another interesting day.  I hope I can find a Pacer game tonight.

The goat on the hill.  Well, perhaps driftwood.

Part of the wise men's transportation team.
