OOPS...Saturday.


 


Busy is the word and of course you all know I forgot all about the blog.  Posting Sunday about yesterday is all it takes.  

So what happened yesterday? 


Breakfast rolls were in the oven by 8.  This time it was the Kroger variety.  There was some 2/13 card playing for a bit. 

        8:00 AM  He's in his grove already.  Favorite score keeper. That's what he thinks we think. 

We expected Eric and family around 9 and we were not disappointed.  Their arrival brought cookies and chocolate covered pretzels along with a cake.  Then it was stocking time and on to present opening which lasted until after 11.  

                                                                        Time to open.

Then it was card time again with most of the afternoon playing 3/13 with many winners and losers.

After a Xmas request the kids dropped their iPhone gaming and talked to each other playing more car games with a Ucker game thrown in with adults and kids together. Woo...Conversations all over the place.  What a wonderful gift to hear.

We ate all day with Pizza for lunch and a little bit of anything for supper.  The chili was untouched and will go in the freezer today. (Sunday)Way too much food but one never knows for sure.  



The card games ended around 11 and the last of the food was packed where friend Wyatt could not find it. Wyatt is our Poodle friend who is visiting being a family member as well.  

So it was a great day of being together again.  Kimmy selected a few surprises for Penny and Vicky that I thought they would enjoy having.

                                                So long until we see you again.  We got photo bombed. 


Have yourself a merry little Christmas...Friends who are so dear to us are once near to us once more. 

So, that was a little bit about Saturday!  It was a wonderful day of just about everything.

Kimmy did it again.  She guided me to the spot where now there is a change made in the blog settings  allowing comments.  If you had a google account you could do that already.  At least  that's what I think I'm reading.  So comment away when you want to.  Will be fun.                             I'm looking forward to a whole bunch of different zinnias this summer.   Finger report.  It's doing fine with a major clean up today. Wed. I'm back Thanks be to God!

This time I hope I'm back for a very long time.  The computer with pictures is finally a go and all the excitement of Sunday is over.   I don't know if I've recovered yet.  There are a few more days before the next Sunday.   For those few who don't know it was another hospital stay of a couple of days.  And it all started in the pew at church with a pass out  seizure type of thing. I think something to do with high sugar perhaps.  The whole service came to a halt for a while.  How embarrassing with a carry out by the good old EMTS.   Lots of tests I guess.  I don't remember a thing until Sunday evening with a trip into a scan machine.  I got released Tuesday and today I visited my primary care doctor for answers and I'm pretty well satisfied.  Two days in bed have really made me wobbly so I'm pretty careful about moving around.  It should get better soon.  I won't be driving for a while because of the s...

Saturday.

 Today was the every other Saturday for Soup Kitchen work at church.  But before that I was up at 6 with breakfast and a little sewing time.  By 8 I was on my way to church to be at the door when Tosha would be arriving.  Sarah Ellen is in Italy for the week.  One person short makes a whole lot of difference when the soup kitchen crew is at it's usually small size.  Jack arrived earlier than usual so that was a big help and the new Cindy crew of two more folks made work time even easier.  Sometimes I feel like it's a guess who is coming to work now added to the guess who is coming to lunch.  The crowd wasn't as large as usual.  We just never know.  I say it's a crap shot not to be figured out!                                                I hope to have a lot of these orange cosmos this summer....
