Saturday.

Cards are arriving from many places.  In this case from Ohio and Michigan.  Tis the season.

In yesterday's post I wasn't in much of a hurry.  Today was even more of not hurrying.  It was as slow as molasses in Alaska.  The actual slow winter has set in as of today.  Dec. 21. It's dark outside!

It was another short sleep night last night as appose to a very long night.  That's OK.  They don't last forever.  That's in more ways than one.  I think that's funny.

It was a toasted English Muffin and a cup of coffee for breakfast with a few blue berries.  Then the yarn came out and then onward and forward with the needle starting and finishing at the end of the day with six little yarn and wool things.  It's my favorite hand work but pulling that yarn through some of the wool takes a lot of hand strength.  So far, they are not too sore.

To go with all the stitching, it takes some good football interspersed with basketball.  But football won out.

Steelers and Ravens.  Mr. Raven almost made it to the end zone with this run.

I did a little reading and I'm into breast cancer stuff now.  It doesn't seem like a new subject since most of the positive development I can remember living through as it happened.  That's what happens when one is not a spring chicken.  But I'll keep on till I'm finished.

Tomorrow is church day and we'll be working on Christmas Eve visuals. I think the church will be closed for most of the week.  I hope this will be my last year to do this.  I'm tired of responsibilities and it's time to move them on to someone else.  We'll be getting the candles out, changing poinsettias to white although 3 of the 7 I bought early when they were at Lowe's have collapsed.

Waiting until nearer the 25th to buy white ones means one will never find them. I've treated them all the same.  So we'll do plan B.  I'm just a tad bummed about it but stuff happens.  The church has good bones and the Christmas Eve folks won't even miss them.  Four small ones are still with us.

Don't worry nor fret little girl, little boy or the world will lose some of its joy.\

So, tonight, it's popcorn, and football with my feet up and my head a little sleepy.  It's been a good day.

Father, brother, Dee...did you get this picture of Nolan and Gordan?   I see so much of a Russell and you in Nolan's face.  Do you?
