Thursday
A beautiful way to start the day. Morning has broken.
The day started at a slow pace. I knitted a lot last night and even more this morning with another purple almost finished. It would seem that the yarn will last to finish the scarf.
I decided I needed more to show then knitting, for another day of living so changing the front door stuff was what I chose to do. It looked like Christmas with a whole lot of red. Since it's spring I turned to pink. I used a quilt my mother made which now is almost 100 years old.
I added a handmade woven back pack Dennis made filled with silk flowers and some stuffed animals. The little tree now has pink ribbon added. I think this should do for a while.
Then I moved to the herb garden with packages of seeds. That garden got a good cleaning finding the soil perfect for weeding. This job was a bit easier than yesterdays with the herb garden being a bit smaller. Hyssop, valerian, chives, winter savory, lemon thyme four kinds of mint and rue are showing up for another summer of looking pretty! Some of these herbs are eatable and some are medicinal. I just let them grow.
I planted parsley, lettuce, and radishes. The big three cold weather plants should do well. Woo. I was happy to be finished with that and that plot can sit for a while now. There is a lot of room for basil, peppers and cabbage when the weather is a bit warmer. But if I could fine early cabbage plants, I'd invite them to come on in for sure.
Nice and clean with a few things moved. The chair felt pretty good after another busy afternoon and I finished the scarf. So I think I have a few things to show for the day. There should be rain tomorrow so it could be an indoor day.
Supper was left over potatoes and another small meatloaf with HORSERADISH added. There should be some ball with the ladies tonight. The Pacers lost by one point to the Lakers. What a rip off. I didn't stay up to watch the end. It would have been way to much for my head.
I hope this says welcome even without one of those boards that say welcome!
