Monday

                                                        Some of tomorrow's assignments.

Another first of the week working day for many.  So here we go again.  And that means another morning at North putting away things and resetting the space for Youth Sunday and Communion Sunday.  And I think we are finished with Monday morning work for a while.  Not for ever for sure but for a while.  This was a relative short workday, so it was good to be on the road home again by 11:00.

This picture shows a little squater activity happening.  The wren has taken over the blue bird house.  How do I know it's a wren?  For one, I've watched the in and out of this little bird.  Wren's use sticks.  B Birds love pine needles and Sparrows use any old weed they can find.

There were some really good naps during the day among a few other things.  Allergy time still exists and a really good pair of sunglasses would be a great help for those dry eyes which are really wet.  The name doesn't fit the problem. It seems there will be drops until the end.  More sweet peas were planted along with morning glories after digging out more artemisia.   The Mexican Sunflowers planted every year for a long time needed some soil help.  So I dug through the clay and decided that gypsum was the answer to the spot where they would be planted again.    So, I added sand, gypsum and a bag of pea gravel along with beet and cucumber seeds to my Ace Hardware bill. There should be tomato plants when there is a steady supply of warm days.

Rosemary just made a new friend.

The afternoon really warmed up and working outside wasn't so pleasant, so it became an evening assignment to finish what was started.  That is if the energy lasts.  There is always tomorrow. The patio summer pot remains to be redone but I must find another place for the Pansey's until they are no more.

Another night of protection from the ever munching deer.

I watered almost all the new plants and will do it again when it's cooler. Waiting for the spray guys plants to get better was not going to happen.  They were dug out today.  Kathy was gardening again.  It 's a good feeling to have someone near who also is interested in gardening.  Bill is in Romania installing water purification systems. Kathy is filling the gardening job herself this spring.

Tomorrow the gypsum.  That is if it doesn't rain.

It was garden salad for supper.  Something a little different with not much garden but salad from the bag with Easter Ham.  So life goes on.  The Pacers won last night.  I lasted until the half.  I think their next game is Tuesday.  It's a 3 to 1 score so far. They need one more to win the series.  They we play Cleveland.  Yikes.
