Tuesday
The morning after breakfast started in the garden. I planted the Mexican Sunflowers from seeds I saved last fall. Now we'll wait to see how good I did. There is always the store-bought kind. I did some watering, pulled some weeds and checked on other things. Where I dug out sick plants yesterday,
Pretty, pretty. I thought there were 6 in the pack but really only 3. They are big and well developed.I planted another dianthus and transplanted another plant from another spot in the garden. The transplant looks pretty tired this afternoon after spending time in the sun, but I think I'll see some recovery by tomorrow morning.
There is shock that goes with moving some plants. It is showing improvement already.
Then it was on the chair for a little TV which turned into sleeping for the rest of the morning with a break for lunch and then more sleeping till 2 PM. That, I call strange. But it just happened.
We made it to Lowes today looking for a new faucet for the kitchen sink. Not something I wanted to do but it seems to be a necessity to have water at the sink. The current one is about 45 years old. I guess that's old enough for a faucet that broke.
There was a little edging around one of the beds. I found some saved zinnia seeds in the garage and decided to give them a try. I'll know in less than 2 weeks if it works.
The zinnias planted in the jugs have all sprouted well. So, there will be some for sure.
The deer seem to be spending a lot of time in the yard every night. I've covered their munching spots but they discover a new one almost every night. More night caps are needed.
Tonight is the fifth Pacer game, and it starts at 6 pm. I'll make it to the end for sure. So that was the day. I'm calling the blog off. The game is starting in 3 minutes.
“hey” from UP Leslie. It snowed AGAIN this morning. At least it wasn't lots, but it is cold and icy. My garlic is sprouting. Three of the big geraniums I wintered over are doing well. Whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteSpring is out there somewhere. The tree near the patio came down last night. It was old and rotten. Sounds familiar to me.
