MonDAY

I'm really happy that today has run out of time.  It's been more than busy.  I'm not sure what you call that but I'm just happy it's 8:30 and the power plant that lives inside of me is blinking.  Time to recharge.

The red hibiscus is starting to show up.

Most of the day was spent in the garden with the goal of getting to the finish line or as near as I could by 8:30 pm.  I'm nearer than I was with only two beds to finish.  That includes ripping out some sick bug eaten plants.  I counted the zinnia plants and there are more than 100 in the ground.  That was the case last year but today I can add that all are dusted so the chance of being bug food is very low.  I've got to stay on it until I can see that the plants have made it through the shock part of growing up.  There are three jugs with more growing plants so I should be just fine to close out 2025's planting season with enough stock.

I pulled all the bug eaten zinnias out and replaced with State Fair zinnias.  They are dusted for now.             There is more to do in this bed.  Too much rain might have been the problem.

We made it to Wild birds for suet and by gum, they were out of the suet we buy so there's another chance to visit soon again.  Thursday is the suggested suet appearing day. Today's chipmunk count is 2.  Something tells me we're close to 12 already.  There is still one squirrel to go.

One thing I added to the do list was moving wood chips from our tree back to our house.  They were dumped at the neighbors which they asked for, but the pile is high and lucky me can line my garden paths with our great old chopped up Maple tree.

I think two more cart loads should finish this path.

I filled two garden carts, and I suspect there will be two more filled very soon completing that job.  Neighbor Sarah pushed it up the hill for me.  Last year it was Georgia pine needles.  They did a dandy job.  The chips will do the same.

                                                                This path is finished.
In the process I gained another pepper plant.  That's another lucky me feeling. Sarah started more peppers than she needed.

The chair is calling me.  Last night's game was a flop.  I think the boys were a bit tired or something.  We'll see what the wolves can do tonight.
