Thursday
A beautiful morning to be in the garden. A little nippy but just right with a sweatshirt. This was a fluffing morning. In other words, a light scratching to keep the weeds mixed up. I did a little fertilizing on the peppers who looked a little yellow. Yes, there are yellow peppers, but the plant should be green to keep me happy. A few other things got an enriched drink but most of the things are on their own and hanging on waiting for the sun to come out tomorrow! That includes me as well. Things are looking pretty good in spite of what is missing...HEAT! Next week holds some promise.
Snap dragons and Benary Zinnias are looking great. Hang in their ladies. Heat is on the way soon. You have been very patient.
Kathleen came for plants. She took as many as she could, knowing there were going to be a lot of holes to dig at her house. I suggested that she come back another time after she figures out space still needing some help. She sent pictures. It's so good to hear that her mission for today was a successful.
I'm going to check this out after church Sunday. The space is large and under two enormous trees in Kathleen's front yard. She's a farmer's daughter and has milk cans among the plants.
I pulled out my Wyatt camping chair. It's just perfect to sleep in. We had such a good time with that dog. He surely will be missed this summer. I set up the chair in the corner of the patio and sleep still works in it. When I woke up I could tell rain was on the way. It turned into sprinkles and not very many of them. But the nap was wonderful.
Wyatt had his own chair. I'm sure some of you remember many of his camping pictures.Supper was another yummy apple/celery salad with walnuts and grapes. A sure winner in my book.
A cute little table topper. Out and about where the sun will make a difference. Eventually the basil plant will fill the pot. Time is part of the miracle.Tonight is game five for the Pacers/Smashem teams. Watch out for that big guy. Let's make it the last game with the football playing monster, men using a round ball and hoop! Today was a great day. The body said tired, but the naps took care of that. I'm grateful I can include them in my day.
Last night was not a good night for the B Birds. A pesky little raccoon opened the box on the side and cleaned everything out. This morning's mess gave me the message. Sometimes I wonder why I make boxes available to B Birds.Tomorrow, I think there are six zinnias that need to find their perinate home. There are a few holes and with a little effort I can fix that. I'll be checking for the dusting needs.
