Wednesday

Some things stay the same and some things don't.  That's Wednesday at the Russell house.  Yes, the morning started as it always does with breakfast and all that stuff.  Then there's a visit from the B B truck collecting things from the B B cans.  And the mowers come in the afternoon.  Some things stay the same but then there's the other stuff that changes.

This hibiscus never stays the same.  It has more blooms each morning.                                                  Such a pleasure to see if the first thing in the morning showing off to the world.

It's been so hot these past few days.  Today was to be different but the weatherman slipped in another hot day for a not very good reason.  What was the reason.  I don't know but it wasn't a very good reason regardless.  Tomorrow should be different...I hope.

Then not very far away, a patio dweller, is this beauty.                                                                                  The flowers and many, many buds are appearing daily.

So I decided after the garden walk and a hello to Gina, this morning's goal was to get a picture of Wyland.  Well, maybe tomorrow.  Gina's walk was over and Wyland was behind bars.  Well, behind the fence.

So many buds waiting to pop on the chives.  Woo woo.  Something blue in the garden soon.

So I went home and took it easy until it hair time.  Mike gave me straight hair.  I think it looks pretty good and will probably last a day or so.  Something different.  There was a lot of hair on the floor.  It seems to be growing pretty fast and getting thicker.  I think the hair is accepting my cancer pills.  That's a good thing. I stopped at Walgreens and picked up Doug medicine, this time!

So many plants have reproduced to cover the little pond.  Buds are appearing again.                                                      I hope to beat the deer to the next appearing flower.

Lunch came along as usual.  Then a nap and then it was off to church to meet with Heidi.  That was a bust because she came at 11 and I came at 2. So, she did all the church changes this time.  I did get the vases ready for the Sunday flowers that I'll put together Saturday. I'm thinking B.E.Susans and zinnias and a few other things.

Susans are living everywhere.  They are near the beginning of their blooming season.                                  They have been thinned out more than once but they seem to fill spaces easily.

I called Heidi and decided to drive to her house which is close to the church to get some papers Darren shared with her.  We side walked met and had a great visit in front of her house. Now my brain is spinning with fall sermon topic ideas that will support each sermon.  So far the brain is pretty empty but it spinning.. But the first in the series on prayer is about Gideon and the fleece.  I'd love to get a fleece from Jared.  I'm sure most city folks have never perhaps heard of a fleece or seen one.

Here is a whole lot of basil.  So there is every chance there will be more pesto.                                                                          Seed packets hold a lot of seed.

It was home again, and I got supper started with stuffed peppers.  Yum, yum.  It's one of my favorite meals with par boiled peppers from the garden, hamburger, onions, tomato soup and great spices.  So delicious.  It was really good. And I have some stuffing stuff left over so tomorrow I told Doug I'll add rice.  Looking forward to that already.

The zinnia bed with zinnias the rabbit doesn't like blooming.                                          The zinnias the rabbit likes have no flowers. They are the tall ones in the back but now mostly short ones in the back. I feel fortunate to have so many blooming short zinnias.

And once again the fans are running, the temperature is dropping and the Fever ladies have a game tonight.  Life is pretty good.

And oce again from the UP!

The kayakers were out looking for rocks.  Jared found some.  The back of the kayak went under water.

When close to land Jared repositioned the rock to the middle of the Kayak.  Good idea, Jared.
