Friday
The morning started after a great night of sleep. And there was no rush to the starting gate. But eventually the garden cart came out, the trimmers and rake joined the crew of one and there was a trip to the shady north side of the house.
Leading to my cart becoming full and running over.I went to Hosta country and it would seemed the deer found a dish they really liked. So, the elimination work continued with the trimmers and rake taking down what was left plus other low lying ground cover. The cart was filled with green stuff that found a home in Gina's composting container. Woo, it was full when I left her house. Lucky for me the trimmer battery told me it was time to take a break. So, I did. One battery down is enough work for one morning. It's currently charged and I'm letting that happen for the rest of the day.
Trimmed to the max on the north side of the house. It is all in the cart in the first picture.I checked the calendar marking the dates for the Live Strong Y program discovering the first one, I can attend. The second and third dates have cancer visit complications. I'll make sure to do some walking either around the block or on the Y treadmill. Either will work. Fewer days should pull me to the garden for a bit. I'm hanging it up for a few days.
The morning paper had an interesting recipe and I tried it this afternoon with one substitute. Doug is not a pasta eater so instead I added barley. It might be even better, come to think of it.
It was very good. The refrigerator has a contribution.Doug found his way to the eye doctor for more eye testing. His grandfather was sight compromised so Doug's eyes are carefully monitored. He has been taking eye vitamins for years. We're hoping for news that works for us. And yes, there were two maybes. So it's back for another check in six months.
Doug found a BE Susan that I missed. I'm wondering if she is lonesome. So the rest of the day was a rest in the chair. It's been a busy week and I honored that this afternoon with sleep and a little TV, soup making and blogging with pictures. That explains the afternoon. And the big report is that the Fever beat Atlanta by two points. I missed that part being asleep in bed. On to the second round. The first round continues for a couple of teams tonight.
