Wednesday
The usual stuff started the day. I managed to get rid of the last pile of garbage stuff. Later in the morning Doug took care of one of the hibiscus bushes.
A hiding place was discovered. I'll get them one of these days.I missed a big clump of Susans. Humm. More work for another day. I cleared off the patio, cut new flowers for the kitchen and some for drying. The patio pot was missing the geranium I pulled out last week. A Kale filled the spot after finding a walnut the squirrel had hidden in that same spot. Soon after that our Michigan friends, the Shard's, Bill and Penny arrived. They are a part of what I call our extended family and Kimmy's parents.
Eating time at Bru Burgers, a very popular eating place in Carmel. Super burgers and great salads.
The patio was our talking spot for quite a while. Then with tummies growling we were off to Bru Burgers for lunch. My most favorite place to eat always ordering the same salad that is just yummy. The place was full as it usually is with us taking the last available table. So after more visiting with either salads or burgers having disappeared, we were off on a tour of Carmel. Roundabouts taking us to many places. It was impossible to do all 150 roundabouts but we really did a few for sure. Penny snapped this picture while we were sitting in the garage waiting for a back seat guy.We motored on over to Rosie's for eye candy all about fall. The place was stunning with the flower part full to the max with anything one would want for fall decorating. There was even a monarch in the cage at my earlier visit. Penny wanted to see everything. And we all did.
Then back home with goodbyes to them heading back to Kokomo to their RV for supper and more CMA meetings. They will be heading north again tomorrow, I think.
I sat for a spell, slept for a spell, watch TV for a spell and made an apple/grape/almond salad for supper.
The day was busy, and the evening balanced that out with not being busy. It was great to see our friends again making the day a special one.
