Wednesday

Finally there is a touch of marigolds.  They should be easy to grow but NOT this year.                                                                      Maybe I need a refresher course!

Halfway through the week or so I call Wednesday with B Blues coming through.  The driver always waves to me when I'm in the garden.  Today I got to ask him his name.  Chuck it is and he told me he's been getting my garbage person for seven years.  He deserves a big, big wave for sure.  Nice man he is.

Another great zinnia.  I'm waiting for two more to bloom for the first time.  They were Rabbit food.

I took an early walk and walked right out of the neighborhood.  Woo.  Stella gave me a seat a couple of times.  It felt just like yesterday at the Y.  It was about the same length of time, and I think just about the same speed.  No music this time, just the sounds of Stella rolling along.  I was glad to be back home.  New sidewalks are the motivator.

Holly Hocks giving it a good try.  I think they will bloom in 2027!

Lunch time came along with the same old same old.  I headed to Aldi's feeling a bit guilty after eating Doug's ice cream yesterday.  And I made sure the time inside the store was a short one.  Ice cream, bread and milk.  I added Almonds.  Strawberry for Doug, Butter Pecan for me.

Beautiful Kale filling in the space once occupied by the geranium.  It a beautiful fall grower.

And would you know there was a parking spot near Goodwill that is located in that same Aldi's shopping center at Nora.  Not at the door but near enough that it counted!  There were two sheets waiting for me that was just the ticket to match what I already had. Three days ago, they weren't there.  I spent quite a bit of time today ripping flannel I've had for a while.  I would say enough to make 61 burps when I get to sewing.  The new blues are in the dryer now soon to add to the stash, washed and ready for the next ripping session.

The blue is a better blue than one sees in the photo.

This afternoon I would call it a time with Goodwill flannel fabric.  Washing and ripping and folding and sewing together extra scraps to make more burps for babies.  A day with my mind occupied.  A day that should make a difference for someone else placing my mind in a good baby place.

Sixty waiting to be marked and then it's sewing machine time.

I wrapped it up around four with a little simple sitting time.  Supper was the last of two stuffed peppers.  There may be more at some point before the snow flies.  Might it be in Georgia?

I counted more than 12 yellow peppers on this plant.  Then there are the stuffer big Berthas.                                                                                      They just keep coming.

Tonight, should be pretty quiet.  The Fever lost last night by a bunch.  The next two games are here in Indy.  I hope that spurs them on to something big.  They are up against a good team.  So, onward and forward ladies!  Take us to the Ball!  It's time to dance.

My scan provider called this afternoon reminding me of the time to arrive.  It's the same guy I had six months ago.  It's nice to know someone will be looking for me tomorrow.  Phone calls are good. The process of getting ready for the scanner machine involving nuclear juice taking longer for the prep then the actual test. But good folks make it all as easy as possible.
